How to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 if the CPU is too old
- Change the Registry to allow the upgrade anyway.
Download this .REG file. Unzip it, and click it to merge with the Registry.
-
Download the Windows 11 installer
Go to the heading "Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) for x64 devices" to download it.
-
Disconnect from the Internet.
-
Click the ISO file to mount it, then click the executable file (setup.exe) to run it.
If it still disagrees, you may need to replace sources\appraiserres.dll with a blank file or an older version from Windows 10.
If that doesn't work, from command prompt, run setup.exe followed by the switch "/product server"
