| I was not receiving my emails and called Spectrum for help. They were not able to help me so I contacted Dan and he was able to solve the problem immediately. This is the second time I have used him and I highly recommend him to everyone. He can remote into your computer and he then looks around and cleans up things you don't need, can tell how fast your computer is running and other issues you didn't even know you had. | Wow! I'm impressed. I needed a good computer guy to set up my new computer and transfer files/programs from my old clunker. Dan was on time, personable, and a good teacher, but most of all, he knows his stuff. Over the years, I have had other techs work on my computers for business and home, but Dan is the best. He charges (8/2024) $100/hour, and is worth every penny. He works fast and his work is accurate. I have not found one glitch. Give him a call. You won't be disappointed. | |||

| I was hacked and Dan came over to my house and quickly got everything safely cleaned out and back to normal. He also installed a new solid start drive to speed up my system. | Win 10 system died Thursday pm - called Dan Friday morning to come fix it. Great response -- he came that afternoon. Was able to resolve the dead computer issue & computer functionality restored. Very happy about that. Then Dan addressed several ankle biters that were bothersome -- printer and networking issues. Could not get the networking issue resolved in the time available. Throughout, he provided a running commentary on what he was doing and why that was quite educational to a tech-savvy but sadly incapable guy like me. Cost was reasonable and I'll ask Dan to return for future issues. | |||

| I needed a new keyboard installed in my laptop (I'm typing this on the new KB.) Perfectly and professionally. Dan has done several jobs for me over the years flawlessly...and in the computer space, flawless is never found. This was by far his most complex for me, as it appears that Dell really does not believe their keyboard would ever need replacing. It required him to remove nearly every single component in the laptop just to get to the keyboard. I greatly appreciate how he teaches and instructs to help me understand the scope of the work he is doing, so I can better appreciate the task at hand, and how much time it will take to complete. In the end this was a three hour plus job that he only charged me 2.5 hours of labor. Everything is working perfectly, and his batting average is still perfect. | |||

| He fixed my TV and computer problems today. He is a great guy, is honest and prompt. He is also very efficient and is very knowledgeable. | Dan Vogler is an exceptional find. Exceptional. Got his contact info, called him for help. Within an hour he was in our house and at work. Complex issue (beyond my brain cell capability) and resulted in a re-install of Windows 10. Extremely efficient in use of time. While we waited for the upload of the program, he installed my new printer which had been waiting in a box for awhile. Also did some other upgrades. He is absolutely tops in my book in all areas. | One of our windows computers denied all access after a software update was processed. Mr. Vogler immediately diagnosed the problem and provided instructions on how to remedy the issue. | I called Dan concerning a laptop computer that kept turning off for no reason. Dan asked a couple of questions and then said I needed to buy a new computer as it was either the motherboard or an electrical problem and both were costly repairs. He said, since the computer is over 5 years old, it is better and just as cheap to buy a new one that has all the latest development and changes. This is the first repairman I have ever used that declined to be paid for advice and that didn't claim to be able to fix the problem. He was more concerned about customer satisfaction than making a buck from a novice. I will most assuredly call Dan the next time I have a problem with a computer. | |||

| On a laptop, there were issues with a potential virus and speed. With a desktop, there was a hardware issue that prevented the computer from working. I had called Dell Support and they wanted me to buy a new computer. After fixing the laptop, Dan fixed the desktop in a few minutes. It went great. It could not have been a better experience. Previous reviews were correct...that Dan is really good at what he does. On time, fast at what he does, good communication, and patient...answers your questions in a clear, non technical way. | memory issues--he ga e me a quick repair..online was a long involved repair fixed my email--would not send helped with photos addressed my back up issues and gave me a plan for the future He did it all--I am canceling my online support. | One day my computer started sparking inside and sounding like the 4th of July; I knew this couldn't be good. Sure enough it died after 5 plus years of faithful service. Dan was highly rated and with a name like Dan the Computer Man, I figured I've got to give him a call. I described my problem over the phone and scheduled an appointment. Dan arrived on time and had the hardware necessary to either fix my problem or rescue the data from my hard drive. He was very methodical in his approach to troubleshooting my system and explained what he was doing as he progressed. He hooked up a new power supply without fully installing to test if that was the fault, and it was (yea!). He then installed the power supply, tested the system and it worked (much to my relief). I had not been very good about backing up my hard drive so my biggest fear was that I had lost all my data, some of which was irreplaceable (pictures). So Dan offered to set up an automatic hard drive backup to my external drive. He then cleaned up my system by reducing the number of programs that run in the background, thus slowing down it's performance. I was impressed so I had him do the same for my wife's laptop. Now we now longer have to turn on the laptop and do something else while waiting for it to boot up. Bottom line: I was very satisfied with service provided and would definitely recommend Dan to friends, family and others. Dan is the Computer Man! | |||

Dan arrived on time and immediately set about powering up the new computed and transferring all the info from the old computer. He explained each and every step before he performed it. Insured that my Dell Studio 1745 was repaired and operating Outstanding visit. I recommend Dan Vogler for in-home computer repairs/setups. He arrived on time, fully explained all corrective actions, and answered all my questions. Don't be concerned about his $90 per hour rate because Dan is very efficient and accomplished a considerable amount of work in the 2.5 hours that he worked on my five year old computer. I had spent about $2000.00 on my relatively high-end laptop and Mr. Vogler's repairs saved me the purchase of a new computer. I have been using the computer for five days since his repairs and it works like new. He even installed software on my PC so that the Windows 8 start page now has the Windows 7 drop down appearance. This is a nice convenience for someone who is yet to appreciate Windows 8. Another subtle benefit of doing business with Dan the Computer Man is that when I first called him he spent a good amount of time on the phone discussing whether or not I should hire him or just purchase a new computer. It was not a hard sell or snow job. He clearly and logically explained my alternatives. The repair decision was mine and it was the right one. | |||

| Provided phone advice on computer problems I was having Called Dan and after a brief phone tag given our schedules was able to sit down and go over some specific computer issues. He walked me through the process having me look up stats on my computer. Asked several pointed questions on the issue and then gave advice. He solved the virus problem and then did a ton of other things that I could write a whole page about. He updated some programs, got rid of a lot of junk, installed new programs that would help me ,....and more! And even in his downtime (waiting for the computer to reboot), he fixed a problem we had with the wireless connection on the printer and then proceeded to get rid of some junk on another laptop!!!!!! | Dan cleaned up my computer from all the unecessary stuff that was making it run slow. He quickly diagnosed the main problem that I was having in that I needed to replace the battery. He instructed me on where to place the battery and showed me how to repace the memory card that I want to purchase. He gave me locations and prices and wrote everything down. He cleaned out the dust from the fan. SUPER job! This gentleman was extremely knowledgeable and precise. He is very well mannered, professional and easy to talk to. I had been receiving a screen I did not understand nor recognize for the past several nights. When he arrived and I started it up, naturally, it did not display the screen I was trying to describe. However, after a short conversation on other things I noticed, such as the clock being off, he quickly recognized and diagnosed the problem! He even knew exactly what the information on the screen said without even reading it. He gave me great information on what to look for and purchase for my computer. He basically explained everything he was doing which was great! Of course I certainly don't possess the level of IT intelligence that he does but he explained it in such a manner that was understandable. | Dan setup a backup process, removed unnecessary programs and files, and performed a general cleanup of my computer. When I called Dan, everything was handled to perfection. I told him of the problems I was having with my existing backup failure to my internal drive. He scheduled a time for us to meet and suggested that I have an external drive to use for my backups, so he could set it up for me when he came. He was very professional and worked quickly. He installed a backup that was much easier to use and restore files with than the one I had been using. I was extremely impressed with Dan's technical expertise and his ability to explain everything he did in terms that anyone could understand. Dan got my computer running better than it had in years. It was no longer slow to boot up and run, but was extremely fast with all its functions. I am very satisfied with his work and will certainly use him again and recommend him to others. | |||

| Dan sped up my computer performance, added a backup program to my computer for a more user-friendly backup option, and fixed several minor issues on my desktop. Succinctly put, Dan is awesome! He responded quickly to my SOS email, and walked me through a quick fix on the phone. That fix did speed up my system performanc a lot, but I still had a few issues that I wanted Dan to look at so I kept the appointment we scheduled. He arrived on time for the appointment.
